Salted Caramel Apple Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 6 c cubed bread
  • 2 c milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c apple pie filling, chopped small
  • 1/2 c caramel ice cream sauce
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Add chopped pie filling.
  3. Place the bread in a large bowl and pour the milk and apple mixture on it. Fold the ingredients to moisten the bread. Let stand for 10 min.
  4. Mix the caramel sauce and sea salt
  5. Pour half the bread mix into a greased 8×8 baking dish. Press the bread to form a layer. Spread half the caramel sauce. Pour the remaining bread mix to form another layer and spread the caramel sauce.
  6. Bake 45-50 minutes or until set. Let cool at least 20 minutes.
