(makes 2 servings)
Ingredients:
- 1 TBSP sesame oil
- 16 oz flank steak
- 2 TBSP soy sauce
- 2 TBSP sweet chili sauce
- 2 TBSP hoisin sauce
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 c cooked jasmine rice
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Season steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat sesame oil in a large saute pan over high heat until it shimmers.
- Seat the steaks until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, hoisin sauce and the bottoms of the green onions.
- Let the mixture simmer for 2-4 minutes before adding the steak back.
- Baste the steaks with the sauce, flipping occasionally to cook to desired doneness.
- Take the pan off the heat and remove steaks from the sauce. Rest for 5 minutes
