Flour Tortillas

Ingredients:

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c. water (heated)
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Whisk the flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Mix the water and melted butter.
  3. Slowly add the wet mixture to dry until it gets crumbly.
  4. Add the rest of the water.
  5. Knead about 10 min until it looks smooth and doesn’t stick.
  6. Cover the bowl with damp paper towels.
  7. Rest for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Lightly flour surface.
  9. Cut ball evenly. Roll each segment into a smooth ball. *Keep covered with a damp towel to keep them from crusting.
  10. Roll out each ball. Keep rotating so it’s even.
  11. Heat a griddle on medium.
  12. Add each tortilla. Once you see alot of bubble, flip it. When there are more bubbles, flip it again.
