Chicago Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup oats, quick cooking
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Cream butter with sugars. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Add these dry ingredients alternately with oil to the first mixture. Add oats, corn flakes and chocolate chips.
  3. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350℉ (180℃) for 10 to 13 minutes.
  4. Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
